History

When choosing Twente Express as your Anglo-Benelux freight partner you will immediately recognise that we are different – we listen, we care and we are passionate about delivering your promise to your customer.

Still managed today by its founder, Twente Express was established in 1983 to fulfil the need for a reliable and dedicated freight connection between the UK and the Netherlands – or Holland as it’s more commercially known as.

Founder/Managing Director Trevor Paul has led the team from day one, and 3 decades later, he still has the desire to deliver the most cost effective and reliable transport solutions.

His team has similar levels of energy and commitment – which has led to a harmonious work force – in the UK and the Benelux.

Now operating from a wholly owned distribution centre in Brownhills in the West Midlands, with depots at Enschede and Dordrecht in the Netherlands, Twente Express takes its name from their first customer Twente Graveer Industrie (TGI) who are located at Enschede on the eastern side of the Netherlands.

This very picturesque area of the Netherlands is also known as the TWENTE region and the locals, known as Tukkers, are very proud of their football team FC Twente.
