Action Plan Point 6.
Frontier Declarations – Only applicable to UK Importers
You need to decide what type of Import Declaration you want your UK Broker to arrange and pre lodge.
For UK Importers between 1/1/21 and 30/6/21 you need to decide how you want to arrange your import declaration.
Your options are either a full frontier declaration or (up until 30/6/21) a simplified frontier declaration (sometimes referred to as a delayed or deferred declaration).
Our recommendation is a full frontier declaration but we can arrange either. When making your selection please be aware of the following.
FULL FRONTIER DECLARATIONS – Recommended
Once finalised (when the goods enter the country) all cost are settled, the goods then become cleared and you have no further actions to take.
If you elect for a delayed declaration then you will have some additional responsibilities.
- You will need to complete an Entry into Declarants Records (EIDR) more information about this can be found on the link below.
- Within 6 months of the goods arriving into the UK you will need to arrange a supplementary declaration.
Our European Customs trained team have an in-depth knowledge of your account and the requirements for your shipments.
